Almost There...

Okay, I’ll explain all the photos  in a sec. In the meantime, I just want to say…

My debut novel will be released three weeks from Tuesday.

On one hand, I can hardly believe that my publication date is so near.

On the other hand—it’s been a long time since the very exciting day I got my book deal. And much longer since I started writing OTHER WORDS FOR LOVE.

Most writers will probably tell you that when you get a book deal and share the good news with your family and friends, they think they can run out and buy your book, like…next week.

Yeah. Well. No. They’ll be waiting for about two years.

But I have to say that the time has been very busy and has gone by quickly, and as I mentioned before…the day is almost here!

Now I’ve reached the fun part…which includes getting flattering, sweet, wonderful comments from those who’ve read an ARC of my book. (Thank you!) And my blog tour starts this week…also very fun.

So let’s get back to the photos in this post. They’re here for nostalgia.

When I was writing OTHER WORDS FOR LOVE, I had lots of inspirations, like music and various images.

The image of NYC was definitely inspiring, because that’s where the story is set—yeah, that's it over there on the right...and it also ended up on my book cover, which couldn't be more perfect.

And hearts were floating around in my head…different types of hearts…which might have something (*insert coy wink here*) to do with the story...
